Casement Windows

Hinged on one side and cranked open outward, casement windows offer one of the tightest air seals of any operable window style — an important advantage in Canadian winters.

Casement windows swing outward on a side hinge when the crank is turned, catching crossbreezes more effectively than sash-style windows can. When closed and locked, the sash presses firmly against the full perimeter seal, giving casements outstanding air-tightness — a meaningful quality in cold-climate construction. They work well as standalone units or composed with picture windows and transoms to create larger glazed wall sections. Available through Marvin in wood, Fibrex, and fiberglass across the Ultimate, Elevate, and Modern collections.
