Double hung windows open from either the top or bottom sash — or both simultaneously — giving you precise control over airflow at any time of year. Both sashes tilt inward for cleaning, making them particularly practical on upper floors where exterior access is limited. In Canadian climates, opening only the top sash draws cooler air in at ceiling level while limiting drafts near the floor.
