Restoring a 118-year-old heritage-designated Kent Senior High School in the City of Toronto.

We’re excited to share a short teaser from Storyphora that highlights the ongoing restoration of the 118-year-old Kent Senior High School in Toronto.

The former school is a designated heritage building and will become part of The Marlow, a new mixed-use development led by Fitzrovia. The goal is to preserve the building’s character while adapting it for modern use, retaining key architectural details like the brick façade, twin entrances, and large window openings.

Ultimate Windows, Doors & More will be supplying historically accurate Marvin heritage wood windows for the project. This includes large window units for the ground level and custom double hung configurations on the upper floors. These choices maintain the original look while meeting today’s performance requirements.

Filmmaker Brent Jensen of Storyphora has been documenting the process, capturing everything from stabilization work to early restoration efforts. The full mini-documentary is in production, with completion of the project expected in Summer 2026.

More updates to come as the project progresses.
