Bennington House: Marvin Windows for a Home That Bridges Old and New

We're proud to see Bennington House featured on Kuulhouse. Designed by Post Architecture and located in Toronto's Bennington Heights, the project pairs a familiar white farmhouse silhouette with a darker, modern counterpart, and Ultimate Windows was honoured to supply the Marvin windows throughout.

A Study in Balance

What began as a renovation became a rebuild on the home's original footprint. As architect Gloria Apostolou of Post Architecture puts it, "We kept the original footprint, to keep the spirit and memory of the original idea alive."

The result is two distinct forms working as one: the white farmhouse holds the street presence, while a charred-cedar-clad addition plays the modern counterpoint. A house like this asks a lot of its windows; they have to honour a traditional silhouette on one side and disappear into clean, contemporary lines on the other.
