Commercial Windows & Doors

Window and door supply for commercial, institutional and multi-residential projects across Atlantic Canada, Quebec and Eastern Ontario.

Commercial fenestration is a different problem from residential. Loads are higher, schedules are tighter, approvals involve more people, and one specification decision multiplies across dozens or hundreds of openings.

We supply commercial windows and doors to developers, general contractors, architects and property managers, from early specification through delivery.

How Commercial Differs

Commercial windows are built and tested to different structural criteria than residential units. Wind pressure, water penetration and air infiltration are rated under the North American Fenestration Standard, and the ratings a project needs depend on building height, exposure and location.

That drives real product decisions: heavier frame construction, reinforced glazing, different anchoring, and sometimes a different glass makeup entirely. It also means the product that suits a coastal four-storey in Halifax is not automatically the product for an infill building in Ottawa. Settling the performance targets early keeps the specification honest and heads off substitution requests late in the schedule.

Project Types

  • Multi-residential: apartment buildings, condominiums, mixed-use

  • Hospitality and retail: restaurants, hotels, storefronts

  • Institutional: schools, community buildings, healthcare facilities

  • Light commercial: offices, conversions, adaptive reuse

  • Heritage and institutional restoration: landmark buildings that have to satisfy performance requirements and heritage review at once

What We Handle

  • Product data and performance ratings for the specification and submittal package.

  • Window and door schedules taken off the drawings, with openings confirmed before anything is ordered.

  • Custom sizing, so openings are designed around the building rather than around stock sizes.

  • Shop drawings and samples for review by the design team, the owner or a heritage committee.

  • Staged delivery matched to the site sequence.

  • Documented warranty and a service path after handover.

We carry Marvin, Otiima, NanaWall, Extreme, TruStile, Mastergrain and Portatec, with availability varying by market.

FAQ

  • Commercial units are tested and rated to different structural criteria than residential ones. Heavier frame construction, reinforced glazing and different anchoring let them carry higher wind pressures and structural loads. The ratings a building needs depend on its height, exposure and location.

  • Yes. We take off window and door schedules from the drawings, confirm openings, and supply the product data and documentation the specification and submittal package require.

  • Yes. The lines we carry are made to order, so openings can be designed around the building rather than around available stock sizes.

  • Yes. Multi-residential is one of the most common project types we supply, and repeatability across many identical openings is usually the deciding factor in what gets specified.

Get Started

Whether you are specifying a new multi-residential building, retrofitting an existing property, or working through a restoration, the earlier the fenestration decisions get made, the fewer surprises arrive at submittal.
